What
happens at
KBWomen Chapter meetings? KBWomen Chapters have a set meeting
agenda that emphasizes networking, building relationships,
encouragement, and business skill learning topics.
-
A
resource table for you (and other attendees) to place fliers,
business cards and brochures on.
-
A
monthly, business learning topic for group discussion. Some
discussions involve handouts or other activities.
-
The
opportunity to meet, build relationships and network with other
like-minded women of God, who also understand who you are as a
businesswoman.
-
It's a
fun, friendly learning environment, that includes opening meetings with
prayer.
All KBWomen
Chapters review the same monthly learning topics. Monthly learning
topics can be viewed HERE.
Who can attend KBWomen Chapter meetings? Are meetings for members only?
KBWA
Members who pre-register for meetings attend free, although all
non-member Christian women in business are welcome and encouraged to attend
also (see fee
information below). Business owners, those who run non-profits,
authors and speakers, coaches and consultants, independent agents, or other
entrepreneurial people will get the most benefit out of what chapter
meetings have to offer.
Although our
target market is Christian women in business, Christian men in
business are welcome to attend if they would like to.
Can I
attend even if I’m not sure I’m an official Christian? Sure
– Just be aware that we are a faith-based organization and we freely
speak about God, the Bible, prayer, and other spiritual topics and how
they relate to business. We'd love to have you join us, and you are
welcome.
FYI -
By
Christian, we mean those who profess a Bible-based faith, and believe in
Jesus as God's only Son and Savior of the world. Koinonia Business Women
is a non-denominational organization.
Is there a fee to attend
KBWomen Chapter meetings? That depends!
-
Members of the Koinonia Business
Women's Association who pre-register for meetings, will attend
FREE.
-
Members who do not pre-register
will pay a $5 fee at the door.
-
Non-members who pre-register for
meetings pay $5.
-
Non-members who do not
pre-register to attend pay $10 at the door.
We put an emphasis on pre-registration to help Chapter Leaders plan
appropriately.
What does KBWomen do with meeting fees? Running chapters
effectively and efficiently requires time, assistant expenses and
online systems. All of these require money! KBWomen Chapter meeting
fees help our organization continue to bring value and opportunities
for collaboration to the lives of Christian women in business.
When does my local KBWomen Chapter
meet? KBWomen Chapters meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Leaders have the opportunity to select their chapter’s meeting time
(morning, mid-day or evening) and location. Each chapter has its own page on
KBWomen.com, including the location, time and leader's contact info.
Please visit our KBWomen Chapters page for meeting time details.
Is there a Chapter in my area? What if there isn't yet?
Each open chapter has its own page on KBWomen.com,
including the leader’s profile, bio and contact information. Please visit our
KBWomen Chapters page for location details.
If there is not a meeting in your area
yet, please consider letting other women know about this opportunity.
You may know someone who would enjoy leading a chapter. If you are, or
someone you know may be, potentially interested in chapter leadership,
visit our Chapter Leader FAQ page HERE to
learn more.
What should I bring with me to
Chapter meetings? Please bring note-taking items, business
cards to exchange, brochures or fliers, a smile, and a mind ready to
learn and contribute. Depending on your chapter’s meeting location, you
may want to bring yourself a water bottle, coffee, etc. Also, be
prepared with a quick, 1-minute introduction of yourself and your
business to share with the group! Feel free to also bring a friend.
Before the meeting, please
pre-register if possible. This helps our Chapter Leaders to prepare more
accurately, plus pre-registrants pay a reduced meeting fee!
How do I become a KBWomen Chapter Leader?
Visit the
Chapter Leader FAQ Page. If you would like to open
a KBWomen Chapter in your local area, we have an application
process. Start HERE for step 1 of that process. The next step is
receiving our full application. Fill this out and email it back to
us at questions@kbwomen.com
when completed. If your application is accepted (this may take
several business days), we will personally call you to discuss this
further. Our goal is to set up a win-win-win situation for all
involved (You, our organization and the women who will be
served). KBWomen Chapter Leaders play a vital role in our
organization, and we strive to wisely select our leaders.
