Happy New Year Ladies!

Yes, 2010 has arrived. Do you remember the movie from the 80's called "2010?" I (Krista) was in 6th grade when that movie came out, and 2010 seemed like an eternity away...

Did you receive your copy of "Faith in Business Inspirational Quotes" last week? It is free, just for our *BLING* subscribers, and is a collaborative project of original life and business quotes from many Christian businesspeople. If you missed that email, here is the link to get your free copy of the eBook. Thank you to all who contributed!

Something else totally exciting is...KBWomen Chapters are opening in several cities next month! www.KBWomen.com/chapters.htm

Enjoy your day!  In Christ, Tammy & Krista

Heart Cries for Connection   by Krista Dunk

"And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.." - Nehemiah 2:18

It is wonderful to know that God has called us each for a good work of some kind. However, at times it can feel like you are the only one, working alone. Either your faith is not supported in your network or office, or you don't have a support group that really understands the fullness of who you are. Where are those who can catch my God-given vision? Are there other women who have a passion for business AND faith? Is there anyone else out there who also shares my core values in business? Where are my mentors Lord? Please teach me what I need to know...

Do any of those "heart-cries" sound familiar? They certainly do to me. Heart-cries for reinforcement; heart-cries for a friend; heart-cries for knowledge; heart-cries for connection; heart-cries for purpose. Sometimes, God sends people as answers to our heart-cry prayers. Those resourcing relationships sent by God are essential to our destiny. In fact, we may be essential to their destiny as well. It is for this reason that KBWomen says, "Connect, Collaborate & Grow." Since God has given each of us unique gifts and talents, we need each other desperately. God also needs us to rise up together and build His Kingdom.

Earlier this week, Tammy and I were discussing plans for KBWomen in 2010. Koinonia Business Women is an organization that goes far beyond the scope of what us as co-founders can bring to the table. We know our role is to facilitate collaboration and create a place for people to come for skill learning, connections and growth. In 2010, we have created ways for us to connect, collaborate & grow, including new KBWomen Chapter meetings, organization membership, learning opportunities, Living Your Vision® retreats, and more. It is time to come together.

To know more about how you can get involved with KBWomen, send us a note or visit www.KBWomen.com and visit our local chapter pages and membership FAQ's. When we come together with a foundation in God, powerful things will happen. Let's connect!

"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

-James 1:4-5

Business Tip:

Use your network to cross-promote each other.

How can you help advertise a business that compliments yours, and they do the same for you?

Could you purchase marketing materials jointly with another company to save costs?
